The Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to face off in Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season, with the league making a change to the original scheduling of the game. Originally slated for 1 p.m. ET, the game will now take place on October 15th at 4:25 p.m. ET in Tampa.
The rescheduling of the game aims to expand the national doubleheader window and provide fans with more high-quality football. The matchup between the Lions and the Buccaneers will be broadcast live on FOX.
The FOX window will also include games between the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets. On CBS, the clash between the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders will kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET.
A special note for this game is that the Buccaneers will be wearing their original Creamsicle uniforms, which haven’t been used since 2012. This means the Bucs will be facing their former rivals from the NFC Central Division, the Lions, in their iconic colors.
Both the Lions and the Buccaneers have had strong seasons so far, with each holding a record of 3-1 after their Week 4 victories. Football fans can look forward to an exciting matchup in the distinctive Buccaneers’ colors.
