Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson broke Randy Moss’ franchise record for the most receiving yards in a single season with a 25-yard reception in the first quarter of Saturday’s game against the New York Giants.

The previous record of 1,632 yards was set by Moss in 2003.

Jefferson entered the game needing only 10 yards to surpass Moss’ record, having already recorded 1,623 receiving yards in 14 games this season.

The 23-year-old is also approaching Calvin Johnson’s NFL record of 1,964 receiving yards set in 2012.

Jefferson, who was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has consistently recorded at least 1,400 receiving yards in each of his three seasons and has a total of 307 career receptions for 4,639 yards and 24 touchdowns entering Saturday’s game.
