Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has announced that he will enter the 2023 NFL Draft.

Young is considered a potential first overall pick due to his outstanding performance last year, in which he became the first Alabama quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy after throwing for 47 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Young joined teammates Will Anderson and Jahmyr Gibbs in declaring for the draft, stating that attending Alabama was the best decision of his life and that he is forever grateful to the University.

Young, the quarterback for Alabama, is expected to be a top pick after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2021 and finishing the 2022 season with 32 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Anderson, a defensive end, is also projected to go early in the first round due to his impressive 34.5 sacks over three seasons, including 17.5 in 2021 and 10 in 2022. He was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year in those seasons.

Gibbs, a running back who transferred to Alabama from Georgia Tech, had a strong 2022 season with 6.1 yards per carry, 926 rushing yards, and 44 receptions for 444 yards.

The Houston Texans currently hold the No. 1 pick in the draft.
