The Arizona Cardinals will be starting quarterback David Blough in their upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons, as Colt McCoy has begun experiencing concussion symptoms again, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
In their previous game, a Week 16 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Cardinals started Trace McSorley at quarterback.
Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has decided to start quarterback David Blough in the team’s upcoming game instead of Drew McSorley.
McSorley had completed 24 of 45 pass attempts for 217 yards and one interception in the team’s previous game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Blough, on the other hand, has yet to attempt a pass in a regular season game for the Cardinals, but he has starting experience, having started five games for the Detroit Lions in 2019.
In those starts, he completed 54% of his passes for 984 yards, four touchdowns, and six interceptions. The Lions lost all five of those games.
